I help women of faith find clarity and strength through conversations on tradition, motherhood, and healing.
What if the loneliness and overwhelm so many mothers feel today isn’t a personal failing—but a sign that we’ve lost something essential? In this episode, we talk about the importance of community, the quiet strength of daily prayer, and the foundational role of family in a life of meaning. I reflect on how service to others brings more peace than self-focus, why motherhood was never meant to be carried alone, and how we can rebuild the support systems that once made life more livable. My guest is Rocco Loiacono, a Senior Lecturer at Curtin University Law School and a widely respected voice on the rule of law and cultural change. His insights into how modern life isolates us—and what we can do about it—add depth to this personal and spiritual conversation. I’d love to hear what stood out to you. Please leave a comment, subscribe, and share this episode with someone who could use a reminder that they’re not alone.

In this episode, I speak with Stephen Shaw, creator of *The Birth Gap* documentary, about one of the most pressing but unspoken issues of our time—declining birth rates, rising childlessness, and the loneliness that follows. We explore why so many women are delaying motherhood, how career and cultural messaging are influencing family choices, and why young people aren't being told the truth about fertility. Stephen’s research spans over 24 countries, and what he’s found is both heartbreaking and urgent. If you’ve ever wondered why fewer people are having children, or what this means for the future of families, this conversation is for you.

For the purposes of this podcast, the interviewee used the term 'Osteopath' to refer to the profession as a whole. It's important to note that 'Osteopath' is a trademarked title for American D.O.s, while in Canada, we are recognized as Osteopathic Manual Practitioners. Candice Nesrallah is an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner. Additionally, the term 'diagnose' falls outside the scope of practice for Canadian Osteopathic Manual Practitioners and was used here solely to describe findings in the context of this podcast.
This episode was recorded on January 10th, 2025.
Candice Nesrallah is a renowned Osteopathic Manual Practitioner based in Toronto. She launched her career in 2005 by attending Sutherland Chan Massage Therapy College, graduating in 2007 as a registered massage therapist (RMT). Furthering her expertise, Nesrallah pursued the Contemporary Medical Acupuncture course at McMaster in 2012 and enrolled at the Canadian College of Osteopathy in 2013. In 2015, she reached a significant career milestone by opening her own clinic in downtown Toronto. After a rigorous 7-year, 4,370-hour program, Nesrallah graduated as an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner in 2021, defending her dissertation successfully. Currently, she operates a thriving home-based clinic in Toronto, dedicating her time to full-time osteopathic practice.

Scott W. McMahon, MD, founder of Whole World Healthcare has been practicing pediatrics in Roswell, New Mexico, for 26 years. His interest in Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS) began in 2009. Dr. McMahon first learned about CIRS after being approached by a businessman whose daughter became ill while attending a local school. The search for this child’s healing led him to Dr. Richie Shoemaker, the global expert on mold illnesses. McMahon visited Dr. Shoemaker’s practice to learn about the treatment for CIRS and saw the tremendous need for more physicians prepared to treat CIRS. He immediately opened a practice in Roswell specifically to diagnose and treat patients with CIRS, starting with 15 patients from the local school. His CIRS practice has now grown and he has seen thousands of adults and children to date.

His path took an unusual turn away from the limelight to window cleaning, which brought unexpected contentment. Born in Hounslow, southwest London, my podcast guest found early passion in music, writing the first song at the age of 9. Regular collaborations with Queen's Sir Brian May and songwriting for various artists and films have kept the music career vibrant and active. A spiritual awakening on New Years Eve 2023 led to a return to the Catholic faith and a dedication to spreading Christian values through music. Currently working on a Christian album and leading worship, the journey has been filled with challenges and redemption, all leading to a new music single with Sir Brian May on the horizon for July.

Melvin and Tammeria Battiest, both members of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation of Oklahoma, faced a separation of 35 years after moving to Tulsa in 1980; their lives took vastly different turns. Melvin, initially focusing on a welding career, succumbed to addiction, leading him into a life of crime, resulting in life imprisonment. Tammeria, on the other hand, ventured into motherhood with four children, becoming a respected school teacher. Fate brought the childhood sweethearts back together after Melvin's release from 38 years of incarceration. Since then, the couple has dedicated their lives to helping those striving to reintegrate following incarceration through their Yukon, Oklahoma-based non-profit organization, Native Wings Like An Eagle Inc., partnering with Native tribes. Melvin additionally spreads his experiences and learnings through church ministries nationwide.

Laura, a bestselling author, astute commentator, and talented photographer, is well known for her bold stance on dispelling societal taboos. Her latest Sunday Times bestseller, "Free Your Mind" (co-authored with Patrick Fagan), centers around the modern world of manipulation and emphasizes the importance of personal mental sovereignty. This was a follow-up to her successful book, " A State of Fear”, which scrutinized the UK government's use of fear during the Covid-19 pandemic. Laura’s initial artistic work had a similar essence, focusing on personal identities through interviews and photographs of over 300 women and men in her first three books: "Bare Reality", "Manhood: The Bare Reality", and "Womanhood: The Bare Reality". A global documentary, "100 Vaginas", was created based on "Womanhood". She continues challenging audience perspectives through her weekly Substack, "The Free Mind".

Today's podcast guest has dedicated her life to exploring the healing abilities of plants, a passion born from her experiences growing up in Scotland's wilderness where her father pursued a career as a medical herbalist. Her belief in nature's integral role in wellness is not considered an alternative approach to medicine, but rather, the essence of true healing. Currently, she operates a health clinic in England while her father, at 86 years, actively practices his art in Scotland.

Erin Pizzey, born in China with her twin sister Kate, settled in England after a childhood of frequent moves due to her diplomat father. In 1971, she opened the world’s first women’s refuge in Chiswick, London, and later established numerous shelters during the 1970s and 1980s. Erin became well-known for her court battles over overcrowded refuges and her appearances on top chat shows, earning a reputation as a crusader for the destitute. Her advocacy extended to squatting in properties to provide shelter. Erin brought domestic violence to public attention, compelling authorities to address the issue. She moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico, in the 1980s after receiving death threats for highlighting female-perpetrated abuse, as detailed in her book "Prone to Violence." She returned to London in 1997 and advocated for male abuse victims, becoming a patron of ManKind Initiative and Families Need Fathers. In 2013, Erin joined the advisory board of A Voice for Men and appeared in the 2016 documentary "The Red Pill." In 2023, she was featured in "Erin: Beyond the Bruises." Erin authored several cult classics, including "Scream Quietly or the Neighbours Will Hear" and "This Way to the Revolution: A Memoir." She believes domestic abuse is generational and not gender-specific, advocating for multi-generational therapy to break the cycle of violence.

Born in 1991, Alex has been the leader of the Liberal Alliance since 2019. He took over a party on the verge of extinction and has since managed to turn the party into a pillar of the Danish center-right. This was achieved by a political reorientation from a globalist and hyper-individualist platform to a far more communitarian platform, emphasizing not merely the power of personal freedom but the meaningfulness of responsible citizenship – coupled with a reinvigorated and innovative style of political messaging that made him and the party into the youth favorite at the most recent election. Alex’ message was encapsulated in the words “Du kan godt” (“You can do it”), a very contentious claim in a welfare state such as Denmark.
Alex would like to bring attention to his own book, “Vejen til ansvar” (“The Road to Responsibility”) – even though it’s a bit inaccessible to the non-Danish speaking audience.

Sall Grover, Australian founder and CEO of "Giggle," a women's only social networking app, gained prominent attention in 2021 for a historical gender identity discrimination case, “Tickle v Giggle". This absurdly titled Australian Federal Court case commenced after Roxanne Tickle, a transwoman, was denied access to the platform for his biological sex, sparking a significant debate on the line between sex and gender. This landmark case is the first globally to directly question the definition of a woman, the role of international convention CEDAW in legislation, and set to shape future precedents for women's, LGB rights and freedom of belief. The case is scheduled for hearing in the Australian Federal Court from April 9-12, 2024.

Toronto native Judy Anderson, educated in public schools like Rosedale and Jarvis Collegiate, pursued a BA at Trinity College, U of T. With a 51-year teaching career, initially in grades 3-5 and later specializing in special education, she retired in 2007 but remains an occasional teacher. Judy observes a decline in academic and behavioral standards post-1990, attributing it to family breakdown and the disastrous ministry, faculties of education, and board policies. She criticizes the public education system for not upholding stated standards, pointing to the absence of a student Dress Code and issues with Health and Safety protocols. At 74, she plans to teach again, skeptical of the board's commitment to "tolerance, diversity, and inclusion," advocating for a return to authentic teaching and mastery of basic skills.

She founded the Alliance for Human Research Protection (AHRP), committed to preserving humanitarian values, ethical medical standards, and universal rights to informed consent. Medicine's current weaponization endangers our freedoms and human rights in the name of public health, with doctors complicit in crimes against humanity.
