Day 30 The Silent Seed

DAY 30 — THE SILENT SEED

A farmer planted a seed
and watered it every morning.

Two weeks passed—
nothing.
No sprout,
no green,
no sign of life.

Frustrated, he almost dug it up.

An older farmer stopped him and said,
“Don’t interrupt the silence.
Roots are forming where you cannot see.”

The younger farmer stepped back—
and days later,
the first green shoot broke through the soil.

In Lent, much of your spiritual growth
happens underground—
where no one sees,
no one applauds,
no one notices.

You may feel unchanged,
but God is working in your hidden places:
deepening roots,
strengthening faith,
shaping character,
purifying desire.

Growth is quiet before it is visible.
Do not dig up your seed
just because you don’t see progress.
