Opening Session of the Tabula Rasa Online Retreat with Frances Xu and David Hoffmeister - September 2021

Davids's introduction to the session: "To live in a Tabula Rasa frame of mind is really a very practical way of living. I think that's the most practical way of living. So what we're calling Tabula Rasa or having a blank slate, is really what Jesus refers to in the Course of Miracles' Workbook, where he says, ... allow everything that the ego has written on the world, to be removed and then, when you have a clean, open space, the Holy Spirit will come and give you the meaning of forgiveness and he will give you the gaze, to look upon the false as false, from a place of confidence and assuredness and certainty and laughter and joy and happiness and that's the view we want.

So really the spiritual journey is opening to the Holy Spirit's perspective. Opening to another way of looking at the world in which, Jesus tells us, this world was made in hatred, but you can see it through a loving gaze and this is the gaze of the Holy Spirit, the happy dream, or the real world as Jesus calls it.
