Jesus says in the Course about the roadways of the world, "All of them will lead to death." You have to give up hope of searching of happiness where you can never find it. The truth is within. It's not within the body, we know it's in the stillness. There comes a point where you have to go through that big wave of disillusionment, coming to a point of surrender of, "I was wrong". In the journey of this world it does take a turn around, it takes a deep admission to realise that happiness can't be found in the pursuit of "more".
