16: ADHD Nervous System Regulation and Healing Your Beliefs
Om avsnittet
If you've been doing the ADHD nervous system regulation work and something still keeps pulling you back into fight or flight, this episode is the layer you're missing. I'm walking through the four common ADHD beliefs that undo the body work you're already doing. This is for the late-diagnosed adult who wants to understand why regulation isn't sticking yet.
I use a tree metaphor to lay out three layers of regulation. The roots are the nervous system. The trunk is thoughts and beliefs, which is what this episode adds on top. I get into why ADHD symptoms and fight-or-flight symptoms look so similar it's hard to tell them apart, the belief "I'm behind, I need to catch up" and why pushing harder digs you in deeper, the scarcity mindset ADHD trap of feeling like there's never enough time, the dangling carrot belief that keeps you waiting to relax until you're "done," and how the ADHD crash cycle gives you evidence that proves itself right.
