Meeting the Saints and Martyrs in the Mass

Why does the priest name so many saints and martyrs during Eucharistic Prayer 1? Far from being a list of unfamiliar names, these saints and martyrs reveal the Church's living tradition and remind us that every Mass unites heaven and earth. Dr. Sri explores the rich meaning behind all these holy men and women, revealing how their witness deepens our participation in the Mass, strengthens us, and reminds us that we are never alone on our journey to heaven.
