Engineer and researcher Chris Dunn investigates the astonishing precision found in ancient Egyptian stonework. From the vast granite boxes of the Serapeum at Saqqara to the perfectly cut surfaces, sharp internal corners and immense stone monuments scattered across Egypt, Dunn asks whether the accepted tools of antiquity can fully explain what remains.

Drawing upon decades of experience in modern manufacturing and precision engineering, he studies the physical evidence through the eyes of a machinist.
