On April 24 1964, a quiet New York farmer claimed to speak for nearly two hours with two small beings in silvery suits while an egg-shaped craft hovered over his field. That same day, Lonnie Zamora witnessed an almost identical object in Socorro, New Mexico. In this episode, we read directly from Dr. Berthold E. Schwarz’s 1969 “UFO Percipients” report, a rare document detailing Gary Wilcox’s psychiatric evaluation, personality testing, and interviews conducted years after the event. What did the doctors find? Was he delusional, deceptive, or telling the truth? We’ll explore the strange overlap between these two legendary cases, the forgotten investigator Priscilla Baldwin, and how early researchers tried to separate psychology from the unexplained.
