Marriage Is A Choice! Not A Divine Directive

In this episode I challenge the common Christian belief that God will directly reveal who, when, or where to marry. I argue that marriage is a personal choice, not a divine directive. Examining frequently cited biblical examples — Adam and Eve, Isaac and Rebekah, Isaiah, and Joseph and Mary — I demonstrate that none of these stories support the idea that God explicitly selects spouses for individuals. I conclude that while God's providence is present, the Bible consistently shows that marriage decisions are made by the people involved.
