MTV's Rich Girls' Jaime Gleicher (Steps Behind The Rope)

One of the pioneers of reality television, Jaime Gleicher, joins us Behind The Rope. Before there was Jax & Brit, Stassi & Beau, there was Ally (Hilfiger - yes daughter of Tommy) & Jaime, stars of the MTV reality Mega Hit, Rich Girls, which followed the lives of two wealthy New York City girls as they completed their final semester of high school before entering college and adulthood. Jaime, who is currently writing a book on her life, reflects upon her time on the show and what being thrust into the spotlight at a young age entailed. Jaime humors David in discussing the other reality juggernauts at the time Rich Girls began - The Osbournes, Newlyweds and Queer Eye. On a more serious note, Jaime is forthcoming about her real life struggles with an eating disorder and depression, which she hid from production during the filming of Rich Girls. These two dive into how Rich Girls came about, filming, editing, production and the promotion of the show. Jaime, now 35 and a Psychotherapist (a Barnard graduate, smarty pants), discusses the potential pitfalls of fame at an early age and how she "came out the other side".
