04. Alexis Craven - Empowering Home Birth, Hazardous Air Quality, Feeling Isolated and Depressed, and the Power of Positive Thinking
Om avsnittet
In this episode I have a very special guest on the podcast (listen and you'll find out who she is)! We chat about her beautiful home birth experience brining her son Ezekiell into the world and the intense environmental circumstances they were succumbed to just days after. They got through it all and she's come out the 'other side' always remaining full of hope despite the obstacles - and there will ALWAYS be obstacles. Her story is emotionally charged yet light and our conversation was purely natural (naturally ;))
Some of the topics Alexis' shares:
NOT preparing for PP
Home birth with a midwife, doula, friends, and family
Evacuation of her home due to an emergency 6 days PP
Passing baby off to dad to get sleep
Being trapped inside for weeks
Feeling isolated even with ample support
Adjusting to less sleep/a new sleep "normal"
and SO much more!!
