Badger Meter Inc.'s shares are headed for their biggest one-day drop since 2008 after third-quarter results were disappointing. Earnings at the maker of water meters and other fluid-handling equipment trailed the average analyst estimate in a Bloomberg survey by the most in 3 1/2 years. Revenue also failed to meet projections. Badger Meter cited delays in several municipal water projects, along with higher brass costs.
