022 Janet Jackson - Control (1986)

After releasing two underwhelming albums under the direction of her managerial father Joe, Janet Jackson seeks independence and becomes boss. She closes out her teen years with 1986's Control - an album that places the emphasis on 'Janet' rather than 'Jackson.'
