Welcome to our 21-part deep-dive literary analysis of Sarah J. Maas’s bestselling romantasy novel, A Court of Wings and Ruin (ACOWAR). In this episode, we cover chapters 57 through 62, as Feyre risks everything to hunt down the truth, only to be hunted herself.
With 13 years of combined academic literary experience and two literary lenses, best friends Jac and Amy explore how Sarah J. Maas uses isolation, betrayal, and urgency to peel back the layers of Feyre’s identity as a High Lady in wartime. We examine the ethical lines Feyre is willing to cross for victory, and how those choices reshape her relationships with the people she loves most.

Chapter Description:
Feyre deceives Mor and forces Elain to use her seer powers to locate the Suriel. Though the elusive creature appears forthcoming, supplying Feyre with much-needed clues to track down Hybern, the High Lady’s good fortune runs short when she is discovered by Ianthe. Danger lurks throughout the forest as Feyre flees, uncertain if she will successfully thwart the High Priestess and save her dying friend. Once Feyre returns to the war camp, Nesta is summoned to scribe for the Cauldron.
