From August and Everything After and Recovering the Satellites to This Desert Life, Hard Candy, and Butter Miracle: The Complete Sweets!, we examine Adam Duritz’s songwriting, the band’s recording sessions, and the creative decisions that shaped their sound. Hear the stories behind “A Long December,” “Round Here,” “Rain King,” “Hanginaround,” and “Accidentally in Love”—including unexpected influences, studio disagreements, and the personal experiences beneath the lyrics.
