This episode is proof that Caipirinha Appreciation Society is a beyond-the-cliché deal. We focus on one of the most underestimated instruments in Brazilian music: the cuíca! Expect bits of the interview we did with Stan 'the cuíca man' Rifken from Manhattan Samba - NY as he talks about his cuíca adventures in Rio de Janeiro and the origins of this weird instrument. Also, we bring you a very special bootleg recording with the samba combo from Pernambuco Pouca Chinfra, playing for the first time in Rio.
