“Love Fiercely”

What if we could be a church where everyone—no matter their appearance, no matter their accent—knew that they were fiercely welcomed by Jesus, because they were fiercely loved by his people? Expanding this beyond Capital’s four walls, what if your coworkers, the strangers in the grocery line, and your family around the Thanksgiving table also felt this love? Your fierce love can change people’s hearts and change the world. Romans 12 gives us a playbook on what this kind of love looks like. The language of this passage is strong, honest, and quite striking—take it upon yourself to love fiercely.
