February 27th: Humility and Kindness | Kids Devotional Carpooling with Jesus

🚗 Why did the humble tomato turn red? Because it saw the salad dressing! 😂 That’s a good one! Today on Carpooling with Jesus, we’re diving into the Bible to learn about humility—what it really means and why God loves it when we lift others up instead of seeking attention for ourselves.

📖 Bible Verse of the Day:

💡 James 4:10 – "Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you."

💬 What You'll Learn Today:

✅ What humility really means and why it matters to God
✅ How choosing to let others shine makes us more like Jesus
✅ Real-life ways to practice humility at school, home, and with friends

👤 Who Was James?

James wasn’t just anyone—he was Jesus’ half-brother! At first, he didn’t understand who Jesus was, but later, he became a huge leader in the early church and wrote the book of James in the New Testament.

🌟 What Does It Mean to Be Humble?

Humility isn’t about putting yourself down—it’s about lifting others up. When we focus on celebrating others instead of making everything about us, God sees that—and He promises to bless us in His way and in His time.

🚀 Challenge of the Day:

This week, be a spotlight for someone else. Celebrate a friend's success, encourage a sibling, or choose to lift others up instead of seeking attention for yourself.
