September 24th: When You Mess Up, Don’t Give Up | Devotional for Kids Carpooling with Jesus

Hey Carpool Crew!

📖 Proverbs 24:16 — “Though a righteous person falls seven times, he will get up, but the wicked will stumble into ruin.”

We all mess up sometimes. We say the wrong thing, lose our temper, or make a decision we wish we hadn’t. But the Bible reminds us that wise people don’t stay down—they get back up.

In today’s Carpooling with Jesus, Pastor Justin encourages kids who feel discouraged, embarrassed, or just plain done. God isn’t asking for perfection. He’s inviting you to keep going, no matter how many times you fall.

📘 In this episode:

• What Proverbs teaches about failing and trying again

• Why Jesus may have referenced this verse when teaching Peter about forgiveness

• How wise kids keep growing, even after a bad day

• A simple reminder that real strength = getting back up

✨ Real-Life Application:

1. Don’t expect perfection—expect to grow.

2. When you fall, talk to God and try again.

3. Remember: Jesus isn’t done with you. He’ll walk with you as you get back up.

🙋‍♀️ Before you go, answer this together:
What’s one mistake you’ve made recently—and how can you get back up from it this week?
