EXTRA: What does it mean to pray for the intentions of the Holy Father?

If you are a regular participant in this prayer podcast, you may have noticed that I recently changed the Morning Offering Prayer slightly from "for the holy intentions of the Holy Father" to "for the conversion of the Holy Father".  I changed it back to the former after a couple of days and researched this question that I was asking myself:  How do you pray for the intentions of the Holy Father when you are not at all confident that this particular pope may have intentions opposed to what the Church teaches?

I found the following article which answered my questions, and so I wanted to share this with you in case any of you were having the same dilemma.
