Notes:- Simeon was waiting for the consolation of Israel... How much of my life is spent waiting for Jesus?- Anna served in the temple day and night... How much am I serving?- There must be a love for God that drives us; must not serve out of obligation and fear, but gladness- The shepherds searched for Jesus as soon as they were stirred- The wise men pursued Jesus, from the east (far off)- We must wait, serve, search and pursue Jesus- We all go through lulls; God wants you more than you want Him- When crowds got big, Jesus began speaking in parables so that only the truly committed would continue with Him- We must go after Him to understand what He said- Parable of the sower: only one scenario represents the saved- No such thing as a carnal Christian... a casual Christian- If Jesus is in you, you will bear fruit
