- Woman caught in adultery; the sin of the religious leaders-used her to trap Jesus- Every person is a creation of God; Jesus died for all; double standard in society- Jesus spent the night praying; prayer enables us to handle any situation- Sadducees questioned Jesus about marriage in heaven and paying taxes- 3 things on the line: life of the woman, teachings of Jesus on compassion and the law of Moses- Don’t try to box Him in; Jesus forgave her though she had not sought Him or repented; He is a better God than you think He is- There will be people in heaven you didn’t expect- We want immediate proof of salvation; we expect more than God expects- She asked for nothing but He gave everything- It takes time for a seed to produce... a process from seed to fruit; nothing or no one bears fruit all the time; it is seasonal- Last Supper: disciples disappointed because things had not worked out like they thought they would - Forgiveness came first, now we don’t have to sin- He’s not finished with your situation yet
