Notes:- When we get to a simple understanding of who Jesus is instead of focusing on all He’s done, we can have a better relationship with Him- If anyone opens the door to Him, He will come- He removed the barrier (tore the veil) that separated us; He wants to fellowship- Religion separates us from Jesus; story of student missing chapel, getting demerit- Mormons, Muslims, etc. in bondage rather than discipline- Serve the Lord with gladness, not out of bondage; He came to serve me- Religion tries to stitch the curtain back together; Satan founded religion- Before you get into Bible study, deep prayer... let’s eat; stop trying to impress- Jesus loved and cared for people closely, not repulsed by- Repentance is not beating oneself down... I’m sorry and go on; taking up cross is not self-hatred; humility is not self-loathing; brokenness not a deflated existence- You won’t let Him in because the house is dirty; example of organizing closet- Don’t let the mess keep you from opening the door; the mess doesn’t bother Him
