But when she ultimately decided to conceive in her 40s, she learned those eggs were no longer usable — and she had to pivot. We also explore an important and often overlooked part of the fertility conversation: when transfers fail, it’s not always about the clinic, the protocol, or donor compatibility. Sometimes there are deeper-rooted health factors at play. The journey to motherhood isn’t always straightforward, and freezing your eggs isn’t a guarantee. While it can be helpful, embryo freezing often shows stronger success rates.
