It Comes From The Overflow | Psalm 23 | Pastor Walter Bowers Jr.

God takes us to a place of overflow where we can hear Him speak clearly about our purpose and promise beyond our struggles and daily needs. 

• The Lord is our shepherd who guides us to a place of not wanting or lacking anything essential
• Sometimes God forces us to lie down and rest before we can properly receive from Him
• Abraham heard about his greater purpose from a place of abundance, not deficit
• The valley of the shadow of death is just that - a shadow we pass through, not death itself
• God uses His rod to protect us from attacks and His staff to rescue us when we're stuck
• Many can't experience overflow because their spiritual cups have holes from past hurts
• The table God prepares for us after our trials is where He anoints and fills us to overflowing
• Breaking barriers requires operating from overflow, not constantly from a place of lack
• God often speaks about our purpose only after we've moved beyond survival-mode prayers
• Rest is essential for spiritual nourishment - you can't eat when you're filled with anxiety

If you've been struggling to break through barriers in your life, ask God to fix the holes in your cup so you can retain what He's pouring into you. Your breakthrough comes from the overflow.
