With a bigger budget (thanks to producer Dino De Laurentiis) and a creative vision fully untethered, Raimi used EVIL DEAD II as a proving ground for everything he loved: slapstick comedy, outrageous gore, cartoon physics, and Bruce Campbell in full manic glory.
