Is Leadership a Team Sport?

Any truly successful leader realizes they can't accomplish all they wish, nor did they get where they are, by doing it alone. Leaders can rally others and can create a shared vision or common goal. What's more, they enable others to act and together overcome any roadblocks or obstacles on the path to success. But teamwork can only be sustained when a leader promotes mutual reliance in themselves and others on the team. How does a leader driving the bus manage to inspire the rest of the passengers on his or her journey?
