Nicholas Hammond shares life lessons learned from being the first live-action Peter Parker/Spider-Man and working with Julie Andrews on The Sound of Music.

Nicholas Hammond was the first actor to play a live-action Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the 1970s. We discuss how Nicholas landed the role and what it meant to him to be the star of his own show. We dive into the decisions made on the show that upset Stan Lee and we discuss the current movies and with their approach to the Multi-verse how a 1970s Spider-Man could make a comeback.

Before Nicholas became the first prime-time web-slinger he had a starring role as one of the 30 children in the original Lord of the Flies (1963) movie. We discuss the making of that movie and how the director navigated such a disturbing tale with unknown 10-year-olds.

We also discuss Nicholas's role as Friedrich Von Trapp in The Sound of Music. Working directly with Julie Andrews had a profound impact on Nicholas's life and he share the lessons learned early on working with such an amazing person as Julie Andrews.
