The 80s hairband scene didn’t die because the music got bad; it died because it became a soulless corporate product, and the “news” we see today is just a continuation of that fraud. We took a deep dive into the latest “updates” from the hair metal world, and it’s a total bloodbath of substance vs. filler.
From Bret Michaels pushing back his autobiography—likely to squeeze in more “nutty stories” from reality TV—to KISS turning Walmart into a “KISS Corner” filled with M&Ms and Potato Heads, the legacy of this genre is being sold off piece by piece to the highest bidder. It’s a joke. We even see the remnants of White Lion being rebranded as “Mike Tramp’s White Lion” for a tour of Denmark—a country you can cross in half a day. Is this about the music? Never. It’s about the brand.
The version you’re seeing here is the “sanitized” edit. To hear the full, unfiltered, and legally dangerous deep dive—including the stuff that gets us banned elsewhere—join the Inner Circle at https://classicmetalshow.locals.com. Become a VIP and get the substance the mainstream won’t touch.
