I am very excited to have Dr. Russell K. Skowronek join us for an episode of the Archaeology and the Movies series. Dr. Skowronek is a professor at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. He has written extensively on nautical archaeology and is an expert on pirate archaeology having co-author two books on the subject. Today we talk about the history of pirates and how they fit into modern society.
