"Julian Bream, A Life on the Road" LIVE Book Club

Julian Bream: A Life on the Road is a piece of classical guitar history.

Tony Palmer rode along with Julian Bream during the 1981 touring season. A Life on the Road chronicles the pair getting lost in Rome traffic, drinking copiously, and frequently lighting up what Bream calls “tubes of joy,” while Bream plays concerts, records, and obsesses over gardening and the game of cricket.

I’ll host the first Classical Guitar Dispatch livestream this Saturday, August 8th at 4 pm Eastern (9 pm UK) to discuss the book and celebrate Julian Bream’s artistry, and I’d love for you to join the conversation.
