Club Fusion: Top Dance Songs of 2016 Vol. 2 Year in Dance

This Club Fusion mix collects the Top Dance Songs of 2016, highlighting a year when dancefloors tilted toward slower, disco-tinged grooves and radio-friendly tempos. The episode traces that shift from Nile Rodgers’ ’70s disco DNA to the post‑2015 influence of Major Lazer & DJ Snake, and showcases how producers folded classic disco and downbeat sensibilities into mainstream remixes and edits. Expect a measured blend of commercial deep house and sultry club cuts reworked for the floor. Highlights include Tinashe’s Cutmore take on “Superlove,” Kaskade’s remix of Empire Of The Sun’s “Walking On A Dream,” Discotron’s spin on Bruno Mars’ “24K Magic,” Joe Maz’s club mix of The Weeknd featuring Daft Punk, and Paul Goodyear’s ultmix of Kungs vs. Cookin’ On 3 Burners. The set offers a snapshot of 2016’s stylistic swing—slower BPMs, nostalgic disco flourishes, and pop remixes adapted for contemporary clubs.
