May 12- Doctrine & Covenants 50:1-3

Often times, when it comes to church history, it is easy to judge history through the lens of modern understanding. When we do that we are doing a disservice to the history. Here in this section we are entering a period of church history where the church is growing and, being new and not having someone in their midst to correct or guide them, they sometimes went a little awry. This was one of those times. However, in this revelation we see that the way to see truth for truth and error for error is by listening to a LIVING God who can speak to us today!
