Sept 3- Doctrine & Covenants 96:5

I love that the Lord teaches us here that one of the main purposes of teaching His word is to subdue the hearts of men! Does His word have that effect on us? When we hear His word, either through the scriptures or prophets and apostles, do they cause us to humble ourselves? They should. According to this scripture that is one of the reasons for them.
