March 21- Jacob 7

Today, while reading Jacob 7 I noticed something I had never seen before. Sherem challenges Jacob and asks for a sign. Jacob responds that he didn't want to tempt God and ask for a sign of things that Sherem already knew! How did Sherem go from being a believer of Christ, to someone trying to destroy the faith of other? How can we protect and maintain our testimonies?
