In this chapter we so often get focused on the incredible wickedness of the people that we overlook the overwhelming mercy of God. Rather than writing the people off and walking away, He sends them a prophet to invite them to repent, and to change. God is always inviting us to make changes in our lives, through prophets and through the Holy Ghost. Our receptiveness to those invitations will determine our closeness to the Lord.
