This chapter is packed full of wickedness and evil, however, it is also filled with a ton of light and goodness. Omer was a righteous good man and the scriptures specifically say that he lived most of his days in sorrow. It is possible to live righteously amid an increasingly wicked world. It is possible to find peace when there is a war raging all around you. And it is possible to choose the Savior, even when, at times, it feels like you are the only one!
