In chapter 20, the Savior is teaching the people about the covenants and promises that God had made with His people. The Savior was trying to show the people the pattern that God has of making and keeping promises. As we study the scriptures and see how God blesses His people and keeps the promises He makes with them, it can give us faith and hope that all the promises he makes with us will also be fulfilled.
