Sept 8- Doctrine & Covenants 101:4-5

This scripture teaches us that we will be tried, even as Abraham. Now obviously we aren't all going to be commanded to sacrifice our sons. But Abraham's trial was catered to him. To be something that would be especially trying of his soul.

You and I are going to experience trial and hardship in this life. Hard things that are catered to us to be difficult. But God tries us so that he can refine us. And the Lord chose to experience it not so that he could remove the suffering, but so that He could share in it.
