Self-study is mainly centered around listening and reading because you don't need anybody else. There is a lot you can do and that is within your control to improve and practice when you have more downtime like over Summer. I have some very clear recommendations about what you should and shouldn't focus on if you keep contact with the language and learn things that will help you in your career.
