A Star is Born (1937) with Lee Garzon

A series is born! We kick off our discussion of A Star Is Born, beginning with the original (unless you count What Price Hollywood?). This was recorded earlier in the year, so you may here some references to things that were timely in February or so. Starting with this episode we will be switching to a biweekly cadence, so we will cover the 1954 version in two weeks!

Discussions Include: Imagining a time when producers in Hollywood could think of themselves as underdogs, fun years at the Academy Awards, and a lack of empathy in the 30s.
