Drummers Collective instructor and all around killer drummer Tobias Ralph talks growing up in the West Village/NY, seeing Billy Cobham live for the first time in the 80's, the artistic environment in which he grew up and his early drum sets, learning to play by listening to Ringo Starr, discovering cool bands prior to the internet and listening/ recording late night radio stations (and how his childhood radio is still functioning), Simon Phillips' drum solos, the challenges in creating an interesting drum solo and both of us recount not-so-good ones that we played early on, and Tobias recalls a drunken Zildjian day event with Steve Gadd and Vinnie Colaiuta.https://www.facebook.com/tobias.ralphdrummer
