The South Carolina Supreme Court has unanimously overturned Alex Murdaugh's double murder convictions and ordered a new trial, after a court clerk was found to have told jurors not to be "fooled" by the defense and to watch Murdaugh closely, all while quietly working on a book deal about the case. And in Utah, Kouri Richins was sentenced to life without parole on what would have been her husband's 44th birthday, with her three sons' statements read aloud in court, the oldest saying he does not miss his mother and fears what she would do if she were ever released.
