A former garda impersonated a female colleague on an online fetish site, inviting men to come to her home and rape her.

Shane Flanagan, with an address in County Clare, pleaded guilty to a series of charges including reckless endangerment and possession of child abuse images.

The 39-year-old was a friend of the woman who he impersonated online - sharing details of her home address, personal life, and even her jogging route with strangers on the fetish site.
