A shipment of cocaine worth €157m seized from the MV Matthew was controlled from Dubai, the Special Criminal Court has heard.


The trial of two of the ship’s officers for their alleged role in the importation of more than 2,250 kilos of the drug began this week.


Niall speaks to Irish Independent crime correspondent Robin Schiller about how the State claims the men were part of a 'highly professional' trafficking operations.
