A cruel killer who beat a Dublin mum to death with a lump hammer before trying to claim provocation has taken his first steps to freedom.

John O'Neill has spent the last 22 years in prison for the savage murder of shop owner Rosemary Dowling, but is now getting temporary release to attend an adult education course.

Niall speaks to Crime World's Patrick O'Connell about how O'Neill was keeping tight-lipped when we asked him about his crimes.
