The life and crimes of killer and violent pimp John Cullen

On the 9th of March 2026, John Cullen died at the age of 75 in St James's Hospital, where he had been treated for cancer for the last year.

A notorious pimp in the 1970s and 80s, he was jailed in 1983 for the murder of former sex worker Dolores Lynch, her mother Kathleen, and aunt Hannah.

Cullen controlled prostitution in Dublin for almost a decade. His cruelty, depravity, and violence were notorious.

There were few, apart from his close family, who mourned his death. J
