What Jen Shah didn't explain — until federal agents showed up at a cast event — was that her business empire was built on a telemarketing fraud scheme that targeted thousands of vulnerable people across the country, many of them elderly. She pled guilty in 2022 and was sentenced to six and a half years in federal prison.
