BitMart is shutting down after nine years, sending its BMX exchange token crashing by almost 60% as customers are urged to withdraw their funds before the platform closes completely.

Meanwhile, Shiba Inu has suddenly surged by around 36%, adding close to $1 billion to its market value. There was no major announcement behind the move, but heavy trading activity from South Korean investors appears to have helped drive the mysterious rally.

We also examine a warning from the United States Commodity Futures Trading Commission, which says prediction-market operators must not cut corners when launching event contracts.
