Anjali Sharma was just 15 years old when, in 2021, she launched a landmark federal court case against the Australian Government.
As one of the lead plaintiffs, Anjali argued that the then-Minister for the Environment, Sussan Ley actually had a duty of care to protect young Australians from the impacts of climate change, particularly when approving new fossil fuel projects.
While the court originally voted in favour of Anjali and her team, it was later (disappointingly) overturned on appeal.
Now, the 21-year-old climate activist is continuing to fight for the planet and future generations.
In this chat, we sit down with Anjali to discuss life as a 20-something climate activist, how to take action when the world is making you apathetic, and more.
You can follow Anjali's work here.
